Joseph Dangerfield

Joseph Dangerfield is active as a conductor throughout the United States, leading chamber and orchestral concerts of both new works and canonic repertoire. His conducting has taken him to New York, Vienna, and Prague, among other cities, alongside his ongoing work as a pianist and composer.

He co-founded ensemble: périphérie in 2010 and serves as one of its Artistic Directors, shaping its programs of new and underperformed chamber music. He has held faculty appointments at West Virginia University, the University of Florida, and McNeese State University, and served as Director of Orchestral Activities at Coe College from 2006 to 2014.
